Support Your Local Trails

The construction of Wheelerville Trails has been generously funded by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation as well as the Town of Caroga. We have also received funding from the Adirondack Community Recreation Alliance. Through collaboration with the Adirondack Foothills Trails Alliance, a talented build team and hundreds of volunteer hours, in only two years, this cooperation has brought Wheelerville from an undeveloped mountain to a must-ride Adirondack mountain bike destination.

In 2022, we completed a new downhill trail, began work on our skills area, installed bridges throughout wet areas and renovated our adjacent parking area.

In 2023 we will be adding two new downhill trails off of the summit, as well as an additional intermediate cross-country trails. After this phase, we will begin expanding to the south, ultimately creating a diverse network of trails ( over 25 miles planned) that will connect the Wheelerville area with the Town Center of the Town of Caroga.

While we have been fortunate to receive public funding in the past, we also depend on our local trail groups to assist in construction and fundraising. The Adirondack Foothills Trails Alliance has graciously set up a donation page to assist in this effort. To assist in future trail development, please consider donating. All funds go directly to Wheelerville Trail development and maintenance.
